5 Gyres

The 5 Gyres Project is dedicated to conducting research and communicating the problems associated with plastic in our oceans to a wider audience.   The work of 5 Gyres and the Plastic Oceans Foundation are complimentary, and we are pleased to work alongside this organization as we seek to achieve similar aims.

Global Ocean

Global Ocean is a London based, privately financed marine conservation charity established in 2006 to conserve marine life. Its objective is to heighten public awareness about the plight of the seas and to secure funding for conservation projects around the world.

Fauna & Flora International

Fauna & International are a global conservation innovator with over 100 projects ongoing in nearly 40 different countries.  The organization’s vision is a sustainable future for the planet, where biodiversity is effectively conserved by the people who live closest to it, supported by the global community.  Their mission is to conserve threatened species and ecosystems worldwide, choosing solutions that are sustainable, based on sound science and take into account human needs.

British Plastics & Rubber

We are delighted that British Plastics & Rubber have agreed to support the Plastic Oceans Foundation.  They are the monthly magazine for Britain’s polymer processors and their support of developing sustainable practices is key to achieving our missions.  We are not against plastic, it is what we do with it that matters and the plastics industry play an essential part of changing attitudes.

British Sub-Aqua Club

BSAC is the largest scuba diving club in the world and, as the sport’s UK Governing Body, has been at the forefront of diving and snorkelling for more than 55 years. Regularly diving and exploring the seas of the UK as well as around the world, BSAC believes that, ‘guardians of the seas’, its 31,000+ divers have a role to play in protecting our oceans – now and for future generations..

The Marine Conservation Society

The Marine Conservation Society, MCS, is the voice for everyone who loves the sea. They work to secure a future for our living seas, and to save our threatened sea life before it is lost forever.  MCS’s vision is for seas rich in wildlife, abundant fish stocks and pollution free beaches and bathing waters – seas that are fit for wildlife to thrive in and for people to enjoy, and seas that will support future generations with abundant resources.

NABU

Founded in 1899, NABU (NATURE AND BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION UNION), is one of the oldest and largest environment associations in Germany. The association encompasses more than 450,000 members and sponsors, who commit themselves to the conservation of threatened habitats, flora and fauna, to climate protection and energy policy.
